Happy birthday to my larger than life dad. Not a days goes by where I don’t think about you. We would have been celebrating your 65th birthday eating in-n-out for lunch and Katana, or Oliva for dinner. I love celebrating you because being your daughter is one of my biggest accomplishments.
My favorite thing is when someone meets me and realizes that I’m your daughter. Their face lights up as as they ask me “are your Bahram’s daughter?!” And it’s not because they’re excited to meet me, but it’s because they’re excited to talk about you.
Every time someone shares a memory of you with me, I can just tell how you touched each other’s lives because their memories with you overcome their body, and for a moment life stands still in those memories. It’s almost as if I can see you again in the memories people share with me.
One memory in particular stands out to me, of a man who you helped. Years after your passing, I learned that he named his son after you for helping him. These stories are not isolated, and while you may be gone, we are still celebrating you here forever. ❤️
