Olympus is the new standard. We want your business.

We arrive early for setup. You should never have to wait for your court reporter or videographer. If we aren't set up and waiting on you, it's due to external restrictions that we cannot control. We need access to the building/room 30 minutes to an hour beforehand.

We prepare for all assignments. This increases our familiarity with the case, the terminology, the parties and representatives. Job preparation helps us write cleaner and provide more reliable rough drafts and realtime feeds.

We strive to accommodate every request our clients ask of us. If you need something that we don't provide yet, we will learn how to provide it for you. Your business is our business.

For every hour on the record, it takes the court reporter an additional two to three hours to prepare and finalize the transcript.

We must first edit the transcript, which is when we read through the entire transcript, word-for-word, to correct our misstrokes and untranslates, research spellings and case cites, contemplate how to spell a made-up word or make a paragraph make sense because people were talking too fast or mumbling, agonize over punctuating run-on sentences, pore over exhibits, create title pages and index pages. The list goes on.

After the first edit, we need to proofread the transcript one more time for context before we certify it. Oftentimes we will pay a professional scopist or proofreader to do the editing or the proofreading to help us keep up with our caseload.

We create thousands of pages every month, sit through hundreds of hours of testimony and spend two to three times that amount editing and proofreading. We spend long nights and miss weekends to create the perfect rough draft or expedite. We have spent many years perfecting our skills and gaining expertise in this challenging field. Court reporters are worth every dime. Support your local court reporter. We will work hard for you.

National court reporting agencies charge the most for their services. They are large corporations with numerous employees and lots of mouths to feed. They are in this business to make money. Their goal is to charge the paying client top dollar while searching for the court reporters who charge the least for their services. Those reporters might not have the skill you should be expecting and deserve. You could be receiving a "discount reporter" at full price.

Olympus Reporting approaches every case, every client, every deposition with care and professionalism. We focus on providing services of the utmost quality. Have you ever had a late reporter? A reporter who could not readback? Someone who refused to provide a rough draft or expedite? When you got the transcript, were there typos and errors? "My mom suggested I become a stenographer after a severe accident left me paralyzed. She knew that I loved crime shows and was a fast typist. I signed up for classes, and the rest is history. I have been reporting since 2009 after graduating Midlands Tech with an associate's degree. I then went on to get my RPR in 2021. My husband, Shane, is a videographer, and we own Olympus Reporting, LLC. When we aren't on the record, we enjoy gardening, crafting and spending time with our three kids."
