Friends of Lee's Summit was formed by Gene Gamber, a long-time community advocate who saw a need to support public infrastructure, safety and other bond issues that came before the voters of Lee's Summit. In 2016, Gene passed off the organization to many community-minded citizens and advocates who will continue to lobby for responsible passage of ballot issues that help further Lee's Summit's plac

Join us as we celebrate the ribbon-cutting of the Lee's Summit Police South Substation!
3650 SW Windemere Dr.
We will have a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 4:30 pm, followed by tours of the new facility until 6:00 pm.
*Parking is located across the street at Trailridge Elementary

On April 4, Lee's Summit voters will be presented with three ballot questions pertaining to general obiligation bonds. Ballot Questions 1, 2 and 3 ask for voter approval on the issuance of up to $186 million in general obligation bonds to fund emergency preparedness ($74 million), transportation ($98 million) and city facilities reinvestment ($14 million).

Update: Thank you residents of Lee's Summit for voting to approve and funding the half-cent public safety sales tax by a convincing margin of 14.42% in favor. YES! Now on to funding those public safety projects and efforts to keep Lee's Summit safe and moving forward.
