Most sellers think they only have two options:
Sell the home as-is and possibly leave money on the table…
Or spend money they don’t really want to spend fixing it up.
But that’s not always true.
Sometimes there are other ways to structure the deal depending on the property, the market, and what the seller is trying to accomplish.
In this situation, the home was outdated, the seller didn’t want to come out of pocket for repairs, and a HELOC wasn’t an option.
So instead of just assuming we were stuck, we had to look at the bigger picture.
Sometimes selling as-is makes sense.
Sometimes bringing in the right investor makes sense.
Sometimes there’s a creative way to get the job done.
The point is, selling a home isn’t one-size-fits-all.
Before you sell your home as-is, make sure you actually know your options.
