Please be sure not to host large events without having a RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND PUBLICITY WAIVER (photo release) attached to the ticket/ registration.

Protect yourself from being sued, people can and will sue for anything and even if it is the bviously not your fault. If you have no release of liability you still will have to fight to prove your innocence, where being able to produce their signed waiver could possibly save time and money.

Have you seen a reconciliation report before? Have you struggled to complete one? When you run a nonprofit and recieve donations, sponsorships or grants from a funder. Sometimes they want to know how their donation made a positive impact on those you served based on your proposal.

They want to see clear and measurable data of your ex*****on of the program or event. Pictures aren't always enough. They want to see written report on how you used the funds to make a difference. That means reciepts, how many people attended, how many people recieved a product or service as a result, what challenges did you have, what successes did you have, what did you learn in completing this project? This information will help them with future decisions to fund you.

When you recieve grant and sponsorship funding to cover events and programming, it's not just to have an amazing event with photos and videos , and a large turn out. You have to show impact, and not only be able to express it verbally but in written form too with documentation to back it. Funders want to have that proof to justify their spending.

So you need to be able to complete an outcome report, justify your budget not just with receipts. Convey your challenges and successes, explain the benefits to the community as a result of your efforts.

If you're not good at this I can assist, I can show you how to do it or do it for you with your help though. You should always be aware and have some knowledge about every aspect of your organization. Nobody knows your nonprofit better than you and your team so you or someone on the team should be apart of the work being done for your organization from an outside source.

Nobody starts a nonprofit to not be impactful. There are levels to this and it's a marathon not a race.

Lucky for y'all, I did the hard work, found the information, got the no's or flat out ignored by funders, curated the templates, applied them and made adjustments based on the success of the grants and sponsorships won from the nonprofit I built from scratch. Now the funders reach out to us sometimes!😊

Then have been able to use the successful strategies to assist another local nonprofit with a six figure city/county grant and also be apart of securing a six figure federal grant!
