I had the pleasure of notarizing a deed yesterday evening for a timeshare sale out of Florida and met a wonderful couple in Oak Ridge. They were able to meet at the end of their workday, use witnesses right there at their workplace, and then drop the completed documents next door on their way home. Quick, convenient, and exactly why a mobile notary service can make life a little easier.

Had the honor of officiating a simple civil ceremony today in Cumberland Gap. A quick sign and go in the sweetest little downtown, and then they got to enjoy some great spots for photos right after. Wishing R and K a lifetime of happiness together!

Just wrapped up an easement signing in Winfield before my client heads off to enjoy a well-deserved weekend of camping! 🏕️ Love that I get to bring this kind of convenience to folks and meet them right where they are.

Just finished a mobile loan signing in cozy Tazewell, TN this evening for a HELOC. There was a little mix-up between the title company and the lender on the appointment time, but with a quick adjustment we got it all sorted out. Flexibility is one of the best parts of being mobile, it meant the borrowers were able to sign, stay on schedule, and still make their evening plans.

A quick stop in Jacksboro this morning to help two people in love make it official!

They chose a simple sign-and-go ceremony, no frills, just love and legal paperwork. It was an honor to be part of their day in such a meaningful way. Wishing them both lots of happiness as they start this next chapter together!

Live near the Kentucky state line? Here’s what you need to know before selling or buying a car across state lines.

In Tennessee, notarization isn’t required for vehicle title transfers. But if the car will be registered in Kentucky, that’s a different story. Notarized signatures are required, and that’s where I come in.

📌 For Out-of-State Vehicles (like from TN):
Bring these to the Kentucky County Clerk’s office:
✅ Proof of KY insurance (issued within 45 days)
✅ KY photo ID
✅ Completed TC96-182 form (+ signed over title (or bill of sale/registration with notarized signatures if your state doesn’t issue titles)

📌 For In-State KY Vehicles:
✅ Proof of KY insurance (issued within 45 days)
✅ KY photo ID or Social Security card
✅ KY title signed over with notarized signatures

📝 If the name on your ID and title don’t match, bring legal proof they’re the same (like a marriage license or divorce decree).
