Sometimes, being a wedding officiant means answering a last-minute call, helping a couple say “I do,” 💍 and then hustling back home to get ready for your own kid’s birthday party! 🎉

When Adi and Aharon’s original officiant backed out, they needed someone to step in and help make their marriage official. While I hate that their original plans didn’t work out, I’m glad I got to meet them and that they could count on me to make sure their special day still happened!

You can probably tell from the picture, but these two were ready to get married! Dressed for the occasion, we met for their civil Sign & Go ceremony at the beautiful Northshore Park where they had the perfect backdrop for a fun photo shoot afterward. 📸❤️

How many couples have sat in the rocking chairs outside Cracker Barrel, dreaming of someday growing old together, rocking side by side on their own front porch? 💍

Well, today, this morning before the fog even had a chance to lift, those rocking chairs became a wedding venue!

I had the privilege of solemnizing the marriage a wonderful couple right there on the Cracker Barrel porch, and I’d like to think starting married life in those chairs is a pretty good omen for a lifetime of rocking together!

What made today even more special? They chose to get married on the groom’s parents’ wedding anniversary, and his parents are celebrating 33 years of marriage this year! ❤️ What a beautiful celebration of that success!

Congratulations to the newlyweds! Here’s to 33 years and many, many more! 🥂

One of my favorite things about officiating weddings is that every couple gets to decide what their special day looks like. With a stunning East Tennessee backdrop, I had the privilege of officiating an intimate wedding ceremony for Charli and Alan. Just two people, surrounded by those closest to them, celebrating their love in a setting that couldn’t have been more perfect.

A beautiful pre-sunset drive to Campbell County this morning for a 7 a.m. mortgage loan modification signing! 🌄🖊️

I met with a family of three in LaFollette to handle some time-sensitive mortgage documents. With one signer working as a traveling nurse and another on second shift, 7 a.m. today was what worked best for them...and that’s the point of mobile notary service!

Documents don’t always wait for business hours, and life certainly doesn’t happen 9 to 5. When the paperwork is time-sensitive, I do my best to make it happen on your schedule.

Early mornings, evenings, weekends, and everywhere in between. Happy to serve beautiful Campbell County and communities across East Tennessee!

Up before the sun again, this time in beautiful Anderson County! 🌅🖊️

This morning’s appointment: easement purchase paperwork. We met right in the driveway so we didn’t wake the family, and we had everything signed and notarized before anyone inside woke up!

I got a call late last night for a last-minute assist and was happy to help!

I left the house early this morning and got to watch the sunrise on my way to Jacksboro, in beautiful Campbell County, for a quick seller’s package helping a signer close on his Indiana property.

It’s been a busy weekend!

In just about 24 hours, I’ve had the opportunity to:

📍 Meet a client in the parking lot of the TA Travel Center at Watt Road for a notarization
🏡 Travel to LaFollette for a refinance closing
📄 Head to Bean Station to help an older couple complete and notarize paperwork for a home equity line withdrawal
💍 Meet with a sweet couple whose wedding I’ll be officiating in a few weeks
👆 Attend a Knoxville-area notary meetup and training on fingerprinting services
🏠 Help an awesome couple complete real estate documents for the sale of their Collierville property during the fourth quarter of the UT game 🤣

Some appointments require a stamp, others involve walking signers through a stack of closing documents, helping them complete paperwork correctly, or simply helping with two pieces of paper to the process a little easier.

And somewhere in there, I still squeezed in gymnastics and lunch with my two favorite ladies and some family time at Hillbilly Golf. 😊

Busy? Absolutely. Grateful? Always!

Another great series of appointments serving Knoxville yesterday evening! ✍️

First stop: Northwest Knoxville for a repeat client, notarizing sworn statements. Then it was over to the Bluegrass Area off Ebenezer on behalf of a mortgage company, helping an elderly signer gather documents needed to support a refinance application and scan everything back to the company. I enjoy learning out the lives people have lived while they're sifting through papers looking for specific items.

No stamps were needed on that second appointment, but the work was still meaningful. One of the things I enjoy most about being a notary and public servant is that sometimes the job is simply helping someone navigate a process that might otherwise feel overwhelming!
