FORMER POLICE OFFICER ACCUSED OF INAPPROPRIATELY TOUCHING A DEAD WOMAN’S BODY.
What on earth is this about?
An investigation by agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has led to the indictment of a former Knoxville police officer.
In June, TBI agents began investigating allegations involving Shigeki Nagamoto.
He was employed by the Knoxville Police Department at the time.
During the investigation, agents gathered evidence indicating that while at the scene of a reported death, Nagamoto exposed and inappropriately touched part of a deceased woman’s body.
The Knox County Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Nagamoto with one count of Abuse of a Co**se.
He turned himself in and was booked into the Knox County Jail on a $10,000 bond.

Sevier County District Attorney General Jimmy Dunn was booked into the Sevier County Jail Thursday afternoon on multiple felony charges, according to jail records.

Records list charges against Dunn including civil rights intimidation, retaliation for past action, coercion of a state witness and two counts of official oppression. Jail records indicate Dunn was released without bond.

Assistant District Attorney William Brownlow Marsh was also booked Thursday. Marsh is facing two counts of official oppression, according to jail records.

Details surrounding the allegations that led to the charges have not yet been publicly released, and it remains unclear what specific incidents the charges are connected to.

Dunn could not immediately be reached for comment.

The charges come just days before Dunn’s previously announced retirement. He had planned to leave office Aug. 31 despite having approximately four years remaining in his term.

As of Thursday, Gov. Bill Lee had not announced an appointment to fill the position.

The Smoky Signal will provide additional information as it becomes available.

BREAKING: MONSTERS! Trump’s ICE goons just dragged a mom and her daughter OUT OF THEIR HOSPITAL ROOM, with the mom in a NECK BRACE, after being injured in a dangerous car accident!

HAVE THEY NO HEART?

Ecuadorian mother Grace Calero, 39, and her daughter Giulianna Carriel, 19, were traveling on a highway in Florida when another vehicle veered into their lane and caused their car to flip over.
While they were being treated at HCA Florida Poinciana Hospital, ICE goons busted in and dragged them both away to a concentration camp, while they were in the middle of receiving medical treatment.

Both women have valid work permits and pending asylum cases, but that didn’t matter to the president’s kidnapper squads.

Ever since Trump rescinded President Biden’s rule preventing immigration enforcement from targeting “sensitive locations,” we have more and more incidents of these jack-booted thugs invading safe spaces – schools, churches, hospitals – inflicting terror and trauma on everyone involved, not just their victims.

This is a morally abhorrent act of violence against wounded, innocent people, and Grace and her daughter must be released immediately.

ALLEGATIONS OF FUDGING HER TIMESHEET AT THE COUNTY CLERK AND MASTER’S OFFICE IN THE COURTHOUSE.
There are certainly ways to check for this type of thing.
How?
Read:
An investigation by the Tennessee Comptroller has resulted in the indictment of Kim Davis.
She’s an employee of the Maury County Clerk and Master’s Office.
This comes after investigators determined she received at least $2,075.95 for time she did not work.
The investigation began after Maury County officials identified and reported questionable time reporting.
Investigators determined that between October 14, 2024, and December 17, 2025, Davis used a mobile timekeeping application on her personal cell phone without authorization to clock in before arriving at the Maury County Judicial Center in Columbia.
Investigators compared Davis’ electronic time records with records showing when she used her keycard to enter the building.
Of the 250 workdays reviewed, Davis clocked in before entering the building on 202 days.
The differences ranged from several minutes to hours and totaled at least 83 hours, 25 minutes, and 14 seconds.
These time entries also increased Davis’ compensatory time balances by pushing her reported hours beyond a normal 40-hour workweek.
Based upon this investigation, on August 18, 2026, the Maury County Grand Jury indicted Kim Davis on one count of theft over $1,000, one count of falsification of government records, one count of forgery, and one count of official misconduct.
Innocent till proven guilty.
