I’m Christel Meinhold, founder of TeleNotary.

Quick correction — because accuracy matters. 💚

Yesterday I shared a post about back-to-school notarizations and specifically referenced sports physicals.

A follower asked a very fair question: “Since when do sports physicals need to be notarized?”

The answer? Generally, they don’t.

And when I get something wrong, I’m going to correct it rather than quietly delete it and move on.

There are school-related documents that may require notarization, including certain parental authorizations, travel consent forms, residency or guardianship affidavits, caregiver authorizations, and custody-related documents. But requirements vary by school, district, program, and document.

So I corrected the graphic, too. 👇

Maybe the better TeleNotary message is this:

I’m not here to notarize something that doesn’t need notarization. I’m here to make the process ridiculously easy when it does.

And if you aren’t sure whether your document needs a notary? Ask me. I’d much rather tell you “Nope, you’re good!” than charge you for something you don’t need.
