The play structure at Peace Park Playground will close starting Monday, August 17, as the City begins prep work for its renovation. The rebuild will begin August 31 and include:
🛠️ Upgrading wooden components with long‑lasting materials
🛠️ Replacing worn features with durable plastic and metal
🛠️ Installing new metal swing bays
Work is expected to run through September 10, followed by installation of brand‑new poured‑in‑place rubber surfacing in mid‑September. The current fence, featuring engraved pickets donated by families, businesses, and organizations, will be removed. Donated pickets can be picked up at the Peace Park Pavilion between 8 a.m.–2 p.m. on:
