2026 is off and running! Ryan was brought in as Of Counsel on a case where a December mediation with no offer turned into $1,000,000 as he was about to pick the jury. This was the right result and the clients felt vindicated.

Was invited to join The Dirty Verdict podcast alongside Will to break down one of the most complex explosion cases Houston has seen.

We covered how a propylene leak devastated a neighborhood, the mechanics of building an MDL from the ground up, and the trial strategy behind two significant verdicts ($37.8M and $118M+). A big takeaway was what younger jurors expect when it comes to corporate accountability.

This case spanned years and involved an incredible team of attorneys across multiple firms, including Rob Kwok, Ranny Sawaf, and Marcos Cardenas. Grateful to have been part of it. We also talked about the firm launch. Link to the episode below.

Earlier this month, we spent time building bikes with CYCLE Houston, a children’s charity dedicated to improving 2nd grade literacy at Title One schools across Houston by giving students the opportunity to earn a bicycle for achieving their reading goals.

We could have worked separately, assembling a bike here and there on our own. Instead, we worked together, playing to each other’s strengths, moving faster, and ultimately building more bikes than we would have alone.

It felt like a quiet reminder of a decision we recently made after years of parallel paths to finally work together as lawyers. Working together doesn’t just increase output, but also deepens impact and makes the work more meaningful.

Grateful for organizations like CYCLE Houston that create tangible opportunities to serve, and for moments that reinforce why partnership, done thoughtfully, truly matters.

We hope the students enjoy their bikes this holiday season.

As we enter this season of gratitude, and following the excitement of our launch, we continued the celebrations by giving back to our community in a meaningful way.

With Thanksgiving approaching, we partnered with Families Helping Families (FHF), an organization that is already doing impactful work for local families. We sponsored Thanksgiving meals for 10 families this year and our own family spent this past Saturday volunteering our time for the main distribution day.

We are grateful to support the FHF mission and help ensure more families enjoy a warm and comforting holiday meal. A special thank you to Quincy Collins for making this collaboration possible.
