I was researching Maryland tax rules for a client and came across an interesting fact: if an individual is at least 100 years old at the end of the year, they can subtract up to $100,000 in income. Unfortunately, for my 20-something client, this won't be helpful. Also, please let me know if anyone has information on how taxable grants are taxed in Maryland.
