In Texas, “joint” generally means both parents have certain rights and duties regarding their child. It does NOT automatically mean equal parenting time.
One parent can still determine the child’s primary residence, the other can have a possession schedule, AND child support can still be ordered.
Stop focusing on the word JOINT and start reading what your ORDER actually says. 👀⚖️

I’m STILL blown away. Like… WE REALLY DID THAT! 🥹❤️🎒

What started as a vision to simply give back turned into something so much bigger than I imagined. Together, we were able to bless SO many families with backpacks, gift cards, money, school supplies, and most importantly—a reminder that their COMMUNITY is here for them. 🫶🏾

Watching families walk away smiling, watching our kids get excited about going back to school, and seeing so many people come together to pour into others… my heart is FULL. 🥹

THIS is why I love community.

I am a fathers’ rights attorney. I fight for dads to be present, involved, and protected under the law. That is what I do. 🖤⚖️

But let me tell you what I CANNOT do.

I cannot keep you from paying child support. 🚫

If you have a child, you have a financial responsibility to that child. Period. That is not something any attorney can make disappear.

What I CAN do is make sure the number is fair. 💰
Make sure it reflects your actual income.
Make sure you’re not being overcharged based on bad information.
Make sure modifications are filed when your situation changes.

There’s a difference between being protected and being exempt. We fight for the first one. Not the second. ⚖️
