Honoring the legacy of a visionary leader who mastered the power of words, inspired countless hearts, and fearlessly challenged the status quo, making the complacent question their stance.
We are celebrating the life of an imperfect man - one who perfected the art of oratory, who inspired millions, who challenged those in power, and who made uncomfortable those comfortable with the status quo.
He was known as a "drum major for justice," and the moniker fit him well. But he was also a Father, a husband, a leader of people, and many other positive things.
He was and still is an example to us all that silence while oppression is taking place around you, actually makes you complicit in the oppression.
"Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere"
We honor you Sir for all that you have done and what your legacy continues to do - inspire, invigorate, challenge, motivate, and remind. It takes a collective effort to move thoughts and feelings that are not productive or positive into action that is positive. And done so for the benefit of us all.
Thank you Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Thank you to your family for sharing you with the world.
