Delaney Ann’s Bio: With songs true to her roots, Delaney Ann is a Texas native, Nashville based singer/songwriter. Delaney has penned over 300 songs to date at the age of 24. She released her debut EP “Fingers Crossed” at age 13, which opened the door for national performances. Delaney has performed hundreds of shows across the country, including becoming a regular performer at Disneyland. Opening for big names such as Lucas Nelson and Dwight Yoakam, Delaney is a storyteller and captivating performer. Delaney signed to Synapse Publishing and Entertainment as a songwriter in 2022 and continued this partnership by signing a record deal in 2023. An eighth-generation Texan, Delaney’s music embodies the spirit and resilience of her heritage, adding depth to her already rich musical narrative.
Recently, Delaney released her latest single “This Ain’t Country Club,” which resonated deeply with audiences, amassing half a million hits on TikTok. This track underscores her unique ability to blend traditional country elements with a modern edge, appealing to a wide range of listeners. The success of this single is a testament to her evolving sound and growing popularity in the music industry.
Currently, Delaney is not only focusing on her solo career but is also working on a full-length album and preparing for a national tour. This ambitious endeavor highlights her dedication to her craft and her desire to connect with fans across the country. With each new project, Delaney continues to define herself as a significant force in the music world, grounded in her roots but always looking forward.
Young Artist Songwriter Retreat Info:
The Young Artist Songwriter Retreat is already halfway full, with just 10 spots left! Payton Riley Music and the Texas Country Music Association are thrilled to host the Young Artist Songwriter Retreat this year in The Woodlands, TX, at , catering to ages 13-19. Participants and their parents will have the opportunity to hear from industry professionals like Chuck Floyd from Floyd Law Office, who will talk about monetizing music careers. Joe Kelly, from CDX Nashville CDX Records will discuss essential topics such as recording, distribution, and radio promotion, which are vital for aspiring artists. Additionally, Stacey Yancey, mother of Parker McCollum, will share her wealth of experience navigating the music business, providing valuable insights from their family’s journey.
Each day, young artists will collaborate in groups to co-write songs with their peers and mentors, encouraging creativity and growth in their craft. We’re also excited to announce that Greg Barnhill will be flying in from Nashville to lead the songwriting sessions, poised to inspire and empower our young artists.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided on Monday and Tuesday, along with snacks throughout the day. Young artists will showcase their talents at an open mic night at Dosey Doe BBQ on Monday. The retreat will culminate in a ticketed event at Dosey Doe - The Big Barn, featuring three selected young artists from the retreat: Hadlie Jo, Payton Riley, and special guest Greg Barnhill—plus some thrilling surprises that evening!
