One of the most shocking cases of union abuses our clients have suffered--told by our president in the Wall Street Journal 👇

“Former New York City tow-truck driver Ed Seabron knew he had ruffled some feathers when, in 2021, he resigned from New York City’s largest municipal union and spoke to colleagues about alternate union representation. But he was floored when he saw an online picture of himself, an African-American, shaking hands with someone dressed in the purple robes and blood drop cross insignia of a Ku Klux Klan imperial wizard.
. . Though it was an obvious fake, Mr. Seabron believed the message was all too real: challenge union orthodoxy and get branded a race traitor. In an accompanying video, Mr. Robbins explained his post, saying, “Gloves off. You wanna play dirty, we’re gonna play dirty. . .”

"But whether at the state or federal level, a right that depends on union officials voluntarily respecting it, or on government officials deciding it is worth their time to enforce, is not much of a right at all."

That's a warning from Fairness Center president Nathan McGrath, writing in The Hill. He continues, "Union-represented employees should know that it may be up to them to assert their rights and enforce the law when no one else will."

Workers expect representation--not retaliation--from their unions. But teacher James MacCarthy (pictured) says his union helped an anonymous accuser file a complaint against him after he disagreed with union officials.

Teacher Angela Arancio says union officials dissolved her committee when she pushed officials to advocate for teachers' priorities.

Police officer Chris Leary says his union publicly condemned him and suspended his membership after he demanded representation he believed he was owed.

A decade apart, two teachers found out through the mail that their union was spending their money on politics.

Mary (left) found a letter from her union urging HER HUSBAND to "join Mary" in voting for a candidate she didn't even support.

10 years later Ann Marie (right) found out that her union had sent $40 million of teachers' dues to a PAC supporting THE UNION'S OWN PRESIDENT in his run for governor.

We represented both teachers in their fight for accountability.
