Record Clerk/Legal Assistant [More importantly, a determined, compassionate, TEAM-PLAYER]

J. CHRISTOPHER ROBINSON LAW FIRM, PLLC, a Central Kentucky law firm with offices in Frankfort & Shelbyville, Ky, is seeking a Record Clerk/Legal Assistant to join our team. This member will help meticulously construct, manage, and organize digital files for legal cases (bankruptcy and personal injury) in a demanding and fast-paced work environment. Determination, compassion, and work-ethics are a must. Our clients depend on us when they encounter trying life circumstances.

The Assistant will exhibit the ability and dedication to efficiently manage data through multiple applications and appreciate the strict organizational skills necessary in the context of building federal court filings. He or She will provide support to an attorney and paralegal by preparing legal documents, filing court documents electronically, communicating with clients, and maintaining case files.

Responsibilities include:
• Maintaining and organizing case files
• Requesting medical records and bills for injured clients
• Preparing and filing bankruptcy petitions, plans, and schedules
• Corresponding with clients via text, email and phone
• Scheduling client meetings and video conferences
Qualifications:
• Compassion for our clients
• Experience in an administrative or prior legal position (educational and/or job training skills may also be sufficient, depending on the candidate)
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

COMPENSATION
$17.00 -$20.00 per hour. Work hours will be 32-36 hours per week. After a six-month training period, a successful candidate can, presuming a suitable work environment exists, expect to work remotely half the time. Bonuses are paid when the firm succeeds and the member contributes to the firm’s and clients’ successes.
