As many other small businesses and restaurants have had to do, we are having to increase our prices. We saw one post by a restaurant that explained why prices have had to go up, listing specific ingredients and their price a year ago compared to the prices now and I thought it was helpful to show why we’ve had to finally increase our prices for the first time in over 10 years of baking.
So here are a couple of examples: we used to get butter for $1.77/lb pretty regularly on sale but now it’s $3.99/lb (more than double the amount!!). Our boxes used to be $0.94/box including the cupcake liner, they’re now $1.25/box.
Literally every single ingredient that goes into our baked goods has gone up significantly in price. We love baking for y’all but we’re busy mamas with careers and just can’t bake for free 😅😘
