What to Bring to Your Loan Signing (so everything goes smoothly) 🖊️🏡
If you have a refinance, purchase, HELOC, or seller package coming up, here’s a quick checklist that helps prevent delays and reschedules:
✅ 1) Your valid photo ID
A current, government-issued ID (driver’s license, passport, etc.).
Bonus tip: have a second form of ID available just in case the lender requires it.
✅ 2) All signers present + ready
Everyone who needs to sign should be there at the appointment time (unless you’ve been told otherwise).
✅ 3) Your phone (fully charged!)
Sometimes we need to confirm small details or call the title company if there’s a question.
✅ 4) Any account info you may need
Depending on your package, it can help to have:
• current mortgage account number
• bank account info for wiring (if applicable)
• homeowner’s insurance info (sometimes requested)
✅ 5) Reading glasses (if you use them)
Sounds simple, but it makes a big difference for comfort + speed.
💡 Pro tip: Please don’t sign anything ahead of time unless your title company specifically tells you to. Most documents must be signed in front of the notary.
