I am a commissioned Notary Public in the Commonwealth of Virginia. I received my commission in April of 2021. As a Notary Public, I am permitted to notarize Affidavits, school forms, Acknowledgements, Jurats, Power of Attorney, Oaths/Affirmations, Copy Certifications, and Field Inspections. Travel fees vary by distance, starting at $15.00 and may go up as much as $40.00. With each notarization, there is a $5.00 fee.

1. Try not to wait until the last minute to get things notarized.
2. Call a day or two ahead to schedule a time to get anything notarized.
3. Provide details on what you need notarized, to make sure the notary can actually notarize it.
4. Tell the notary exactly what needs notarized so there will be no surprises for either of you, especially so the two of you can discuss fees cost.
5. And remember that November 7th is National Notary Public Day.
