Attorneys Kaitlyn P. Tauber-Johnson and Melissa N. Paddy were honored to attend the Alzheimer's Association Corporate Impact Breakfast, *Leadership in the Era of Breakthroughs*, hosted by the Alzheimer’s Association Greater Maryland Chapter.

The event brought together business and community leaders from across Howard County to discuss the growing impact of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia on families, workplaces, and our community, as well as the exciting breakthroughs being made in research, treatment, and brain health.

We were especially honored to hear from Howard County Executive Calvin Ball, who spoke about the growing dementia community in Howard County and the initiatives and resources being developed to support individuals and families affected by Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.

A special thank you to the Alzheimer's Association, the event organizers, sponsors, and all of the speakers who shared their insights and expertise. We were also proud to support our good friend Dan Shaw of Right at Home of Howard County, who serves as the 2026 Howard County Walk to End Alzheimer’s Executive Leadership Chair and was one of the featured speakers during the event.

At Liberty Legacy Law Group, we see firsthand the importance of planning for the future and protecting families facing aging-related challenges. We are proud to support conversations that promote awareness, education, and resources for those impacted by Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia.

Last Friday, we were honored to have our Managing Partner, Melissa N. Paddy, Esq., represent Liberty Legacy Law Group at Southern Mechanical, Inc. ’s annual safety training day held at Veterans of Foreign Wars Ellicott City Post 7472.

Melissa had the privilege of presenting alongside Peter Vinton, Vice President & Benefits Advisor at Hilb Group. Peter shared important updates regarding employee benefits and available resources, while Melissa discussed the importance of estate planning and why every adult, regardless of age or stage of life, should have foundational legal protections in place.

From wills and powers of attorney to trusts and incapacity planning, the presentation focused on helping employees better understand how to protect themselves, their loved ones, and the futures they are working so hard to build.

We are incredibly grateful to Southern Mechanical, Inc. for the opportunity to speak with their team and support their commitment to employee education, safety, and long-term peace of mind.

Liberty Legacy Law Group was proud to serve as an exhibitor at the MGA- Maryland Gerontological Association (MGA) 2026 Annual Conference, “Enthusiasm for Empowerment,” held at the Maritime Conference Center in Linthicum Heights, Maryland.

The conference brought together professionals and organizations dedicated to supporting older adults, caregivers, aging in place initiatives, dementia care, advance directives, fraud prevention, and overall community empowerment for Maryland’s aging population. It was an incredible opportunity to connect with so many passionate professionals who are making a real difference in the lives of seniors and families throughout our community.

We loved meeting attendees, participating in the exhibitor experience, and sharing more about how Liberty Legacy Law Group helps families protect what matters most through estate planning, trusts, powers of attorney, advance directives, and long-term planning.

We also enjoyed contributing a Maryland themed raffle basket as part of the conference door prize giveaways. Even more fun, Managing Partner Kaitlyn Tauber-Johnson, ended up winning a beach themed door prize herself!

If you have a trust, you still need a will.
