Memorial Day is a day to remember those who gave their lives in service to our country.

It is also a reminder that behind every name is a story, a family, and a sacrifice that is deeply personal.

Today, we pause to reflect, to remember, and to honor those who never made it home.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms, grandmas, stepmoms, foster moms, dog moms, and mother figures who somehow manage to keep everything together while making it look easy.

Today’s a good reminder to call your mom, hug your kids, and maybe finally admit your mom was right about at least a few things.

We hope everyone has a great day surrounded by family, good food, and people they love.

Our team was at the Orange County Superior Court, Central Justice Center for a settlement conference. While it didn’t resolve this round, we’re continuing to push forward for our client. Firm owner Emily Ruby’s son made sure everything stayed on track.

Most people think a workplace injury case starts and ends with workers’ comp. It doesn’t.

If someone outside your employer contributed to your injury, you may have a third-party claim. That can open the door to significantly more compensation, including pain and suffering, not just medical bills and lost wages.

Understanding the difference can change the outcome of your case.

Workplace accidents can happen in ways you least expect. You may think workers' comp has your back - but what if someone else was to blame? Welcome to the world of third-party injury claims. A labyrinth where injured workers battle against negligent third parties and stubborn insurance companies...

No child should have to endure bullying that escalates into violence.

We recently helped resolve a Santa Cruz case for $500,000 after a middle school student suffered ongoing harassment and a physical attack.

Accountability matters. So does standing up for victims.

Presidents’ Day is a reminder that the rule of law protects all of us.

That includes workers who are injured on the job.

In California, employers are required to provide safe workplaces. When safety rules are ignored and workers are hurt, the law provides protection and accountability.

At Greenberg and Ruby Injury Attorneys, we stand with injured workers and their families every day.

Happy Presidents’ Day.

Today we honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Dr. King’s work reminds us that fairness in the workplace, dignity on the job, and equal opportunity are not just ideals. They are rights worth protecting. His fight for justice continues to shape the laws and protections that safeguard workers today.

On this Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we reflect on the progress made and the work still to be done so every employee is treated with respect and equity.

As we welcome 2026, we want to take a moment to say thank you.

Thank you to our clients who trusted us during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Thank you to our team for showing up every day with integrity, compassion, and relentless dedication. And thank you to our community for continuing to support the work we do.

A new year is a reminder that even after unexpected setbacks, there is room for healing, accountability, and forward progress. Our commitment remains the same in 2026: to stand up for people who have been hurt, to demand fairness, and to help our clients move forward with confidence.

Wishing you and your loved ones a safe, healthy, and hopeful New Year.

As travel picks up, we see the same injuries over and over. A few smart habits can help you avoid ending a trip in the ER:

- Rental cars: Adjust mirrors and seats before driving. Many crashes happen in the first 10 minutes

- Hotels & Airbnbs: Watch for wet floors, uneven stairs, poor lighting, and loose railings

- Walking & sightseeing: New cities mean unfamiliar traffic patterns and distracted drivers

- Pools & beaches: Slips, shallow dives, and alcohol are a dangerous mix

- Fatigue matters: Long travel days slow reaction time and increase accident risk

Most travel injuries happen when people are rushed, tired, or assuming someone else handled safety.

Stay alert. Enjoy the trip. Get home safe.
