Back in 2015, while attending South Texas College, I took a Business Communication class that changed the way I envisioned my future. Our big class project was to create a business plan from scratch and formulate the marketing material for said fake business. Not only did I secure an “A” for the assignment, but I now had a rough idea of what I wanted to do: be an entrepreneur. But why Iris? In Gre

ek Mythology, Iris is the goddess of the rainbow, but more importantly, the messenger of the gods. She was the divine messenger in Homer’s The Iliad. The Iris flower was also heavily featured in my wedding back in 2013. It truly holds significant meaning to me. As a notary public and notary signing agent, it is my responsibility to ensure that all documents that are brought forth are prepared beforehand and ready for a notary’s stamp & signature. With a background in medical compliance, non-profit data entry, and real estate, I understand the importance of accurate and correct information. No corners are ever cut. I know that I serve the role, sometimes, as messenger for some of the most important documents you'll be signing.

Last week, I attended the Edwards Abstract and Title Co. State of Real Estate Forum featuring economist Dr. Ted Jones.

Dr. Jones said one thing that stood out to me during the presentation - if you have clients waiting for mortgage rates to get better, then tell them to do it now, because this is 'better'. The historic lows during the pandemic were a one-off, and will likely never be that again.

There's a saying amongst real estate professionals: "date the rate, marry the house". And nothing was more evident of that than my clients who refinanced their mortgage after spending the last 3 years working on their credit and were able to qualify for a lower rate.

As a Certified Notary Signing Agent, I was happy to assist them with that. ✒️📃
