Any golfers or animal lovers out there? I'm excited and proud to sponsor Homeward Pet's 1st Annual Golf Tournament, coming up Saturday August 27, 2021 at the Golf Club at Redmond Ridge. There's still a few team spots left for the tournament, and you can register online. There will be prizes, games, auction items, food, and of course, cats and dogs! All proceeds benefit the animals! Let me know if you have any questions.

Homeward Pet Adoption Center is a non-profit, no-kill animal shelter serving the greater Seattle area. We give homeless animals a second chance through our rescue, shelter, and adoption programs.

I've got a couple of new posts up on my blog about recent WA Supreme Court cases, for your reading pleasure, if you're interested. I've also FINALLY added a feature that allows you to subscribe and get a notification when a new post is published. Seattle Union Gospel Mission, pitting a worker's right to be free from sexual orientation employment discrimination and a religious nonprofit's right to its sincere religious beliefs.

Warning--it's long! (Don't say I didn't warn you! 😀)

What happens when the Washington Law Against Discrimination crashes headlong into the 1st Amendment right of religious employers to choose workers who reflect their beliefs? Last week the Washington Supreme Court decided the answer is “it’s complicated.” In Woods v. Seattle Union Gospel Missio...
