After 15 years of service to the Durham and greater Triangle community, The Law Office of Kevin E. Jones will permanently close on December 31, 2022. I will be sworn in as the next Durham County District Court Judge on January 1, 2023!

While I will miss working with my clients, I am excited to serve the Durham community in this new capacity. I want to thank everyone who allowed me to assist them with their legal matters.

Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers as I take this next step in my legal career!

Picked what was likely to be last Jury this week…..Gave what was likely my last Closing argument before a jury as well….This has been a journey filled with many twists and turns! I am thankful for each one!

Good afternoon! On Monday, December 6, 2021, Elaine M. O’Neal will be sworn in as Durham’s first African American woman mayor. The swearing in will take place at Durham City Hall at 7 pm.

Due to COVID restrictions, they are limiting the amount of attendees. The event can be viewed from the lobby of City Hall or the Committee Meeting room. Space is limited.
