Take a look at a quick example of 20 years of investing with a variety of market shifts and why I choose real estate. Real Estate is real, tangible, tax friendly asset that can be leveraged.
1) $50,000 kept in a savings account over a 20 year period with 3% inflation will be worth around $27,683
2) $50,000 invested in the stock market at an average of 7% annual returns could be worth around $193,484
3) $50,000 continually re-invested in real estate Investment opportunities with an average projected return of 2.0X every 4 years over the same 20 year period could be worth $1,600,000.
This does not factor in the possibility of 70-100% bonus depreciation on these real estate investments which would further increase the overall yield to the investor assuming they are certified, real estate professionals.
