The fifth topic in the medical exam FAQs is what happens after the medical exam. After the appointment, the doctor will provide your medical exam results in a sealed envelope. Do not break the seal. You will either take the results with you to an interview, mail them to USCIS, or in some cases, they will be sent directly to the U.S. embassy/consulate. They will ask questions about your health and give you a basic physical check-up. Additionally, the doctor will look for specific conditions that may affect your ability to receive a green card by conducting a series of tests, including Tuberculosis, blood and urine, and drug and alcohol screening.
