On May 1, 2026, it was Law Day and we celebrated the vital role that law plays in our society. The rule of law is the foundation of the American Dream, our freedom and fairness.

We attended the Law Day ceremony at the Danbury Superior Court, and heard inspiring words from the Honorable Judge Reed as well as the Danbury Mayor, Roberto Alves. Students from nearby schools attended as well. The Judges reaffirmed their commitment to justice by re-taking the Judges' Oath and so did the attorneys present by re-taking the Attorneys' Oath.

Three individuals were honored at the ceremony as well:

Ann-Margaret Archer, Esq.- 2026 Liberty Bell Award
Veasna Roeun-2026 American Dream Award
Rachael Levine, Esq.-2026 Pro Bono Award

Congratulations to all! Well deserved!

Last week we attended the State of the Courthouse Dinner sponsored by the Greater Danbury Bar Association. The Honorable Judge Max Medina delivered the State of the Judiciary address and we all enjoyed a delicious italian dinner at Castello Restaurant.

It was a great opportunity to connect with our judges and discuss ways to better serve our local community with our colleagues.

New Year, New Intentions!

Intentions are purposeful, broad guiding principles for the new year that focus on how you want to be, feel, and grow, rather than resolutions that are rigid and focus on what you will achieve.

Setting intentions offers more ease and flexibility.

For example, if your intention is to "nourish myself with love," it can be done in some many ways! You can start eating better, journaling, doing yoga, have a spa day, go for a walk, read a book, etc. as these are all actions that nourish yourself with love.

I urge you to throw resolutions out the window, grab a notepad or a journal and start setting your intentions!

Set you intentions and then connect them to actions. Be kind to yourself and focus on your overall well-being.

Then, revisit your intentions monthly to adjust as needed, help you stay on track and focus on your progress.

Enjoy a fresh start in the new year and set up yourself for success!

Our office will be closed today from 12 p.m. for our holiday lunch to celebrate our amazing team through January 1, 2026, to give our team time to rest, recharge and spend time with loved ones.

December is here and I look forward to inviting all the magical and joyful energy of the upcoming holiday season!

I welcome December with hope, joy, and an open heart.
I am grateful for the blessings this year has brought me.
I release stress and welcome joy into my day.
I am deserving of all the beautiful things this season brings.
I am ready to welcome a new year filled with blessings and opportunities.
