Did You Know? ๐๏ธ๐
Long before modern notaries used stamps, seals, journals, and electronic records, ancient Egyptian scribes played a vital role in preserving the truth.
Thousands of years ago, scribes carefully documented property transfers, business agreements, tax records, court proceedings, marriages, wills, and other important transactions. Their work helped create reliable records, prevent disputes, and bring order to society.
They were not notaries in the modern legal senseโbut the principles behind their work should sound very familiar to us today: accuracy, integrity, accountability, and public trust.
The tools have evolved from papyrus and reed pens to official seals, journals, digital platforms, and electronic records.
But the mission remains remarkably similar:
Protect the integrity of important transactions. Create a trustworthy record. Serve the public with honesty and care.
As modern notaries, we are part of a much larger story of safeguarding the records and moments that matter in people's lives.
What we do matters. And the impact of our work can ripple far beyond what we see today.
