Today, the Department of Homeland Security announced a Federal Register notice to implement Keeping Families Together, a process for certain noncitizen spouses and stepchildren of U.S. citizens. USCIS will now accept requests from eligible individuals for this process. If you have been in the US for over 10 years and were married to a US citizen as of June 17, 2024, call our office today to schedule an appointment to verify your eligibility for this amazing new program.

Today, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced the designation of Cameroon for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for 18 months. Only individuals who are already residing in the United States as of April 14, 2022, will be eligible for TPS.

El día 16 de Julio del 2016, un Juez Federal en Texas, decidió que el programa DACA es ilegal bajo las condiciones actuales.

De acuerdo a esta decisión, quienes ya tienen aprobado su beneficio de DACA aprobadas en o antes de Julio 16, 2021 no perderán ninguno de los beneficios y pueden continuar con las renovaciones si es el caso.

Aquellas personas que tengan aplicaciones pendientes de DACA inicial en Julio 16, 2021 no recibirán aprobaciones, sin embargo las aplicaciones nuevas pueden recibirse pero no serán decididas por el Servicio de Inmigracion.

Nada en esta orden cambia las leyes de enforzamiento actuales.

La orden no es muy específica en cuanto a permisos de viaje pendientes o aprobados.

Se esperan apelaciones a esta decisión y esperamos que se abran las puertas para continuar con este programa que tanto ha beneficiado a nuestra comunidad.
