Should this GIF be sent to the State after their case is killed because a jury returns "not guilty" verdicts for THREE charges? Asking for a friend.

On an unrelated not, congratulations to Seth Fuller and our client for getting a jury to return THREE "not guilty" verdicts, against the State of Texas.

This is a REAL problem. Yet not a whisper from politicians or media.

This is a REAL problem. Yet not a whisper from politicians or media.

The agency is so understaffed that teens have reported spending up to 23 hours locked in their cells, using water bottles to go to the bathroom. A staggering number have hurt themselves or been placed on su***de watch.

This country is the best because it was founded on the sound but limited principles of the US Constitution and since then those protections have been expanded to all citizens. It will only stay great if we continue to strive for freedom and equality for all. That is what we try to do at Patel Fuller. Happy Independence Day!

We have had 5 criminal/juvenile cases set for jury trial in Denton County since May 1. The results:
2 outright Dismissals
2 Class C Disorderly Conducts (reduced from Assault FV)
1 Plea to time served in the middle of trial
We love doing trials but oftentimes the deals are too good....because we love to do trials.

After 6 LONG days of trial (not including the weekend) and 14 hours of deliberation, the Bell County jury reached an impasse and our pro-bono Capital Murder trial was declared a mistrial. We were told by local lawyers it was an impossible case, but we managed to show at least 6 jurors (which were eventually worn down into 3 intrepid heroes) what reasonable doubt looks like. While it would be super easy to pat ourselves on the back in order to relieve our frustration, our 16 year old client returns to his nearly two years of detention and still faces a life imprisonment sentence. So as weary as we are, we must continue on seeking True Justice. Thus far we have found it near impossible in these rural Texas counties. We also want to apologize to all the clients we have neglected during this time. We promise to make it up by doubling our diligence on your cases.

We see a lot of our Texas friends outraged at Russia's treatment of Brittney. While we 100% agree we'd also like to remind you of some important facts:
Brittney was reportedly caught with a "large amount" of THC concentrates and is facing 5-10 years in prison. She is being held for about 90 days.
Thank God we live in the US, right?
Well, here in Texas, if that "large amount" was above 4 grams, she'd be facing 2-20 years in prison. If she couldn't afford bail, she would be held 90 days without indictment before qualifying for statutory release.
So after you're done criticizing Russia, take a good look at the current state of our criminal justice system.

The W.N.B.A. star was stopped at an airport outside Moscow and accused of carrying hashish oil in her luggage. But much about the case remains unclear.

Often times we shouldn't have to work hard to prove our client's innocence. They shouldn't have to hire us and we shouldn't have to set it for trial. We shouldn't have to show up to multiple jury trial announcements. But we do. And this is why. Another dismissal in the books. That's two so far this week.
