Congratulations to Morgan McPheeters and trial counsel Katie James of The James Law Firm for their win in the Houston First District Court of Appeals this week! Morgan and Katie successfully convinced the en banc court to allow our client's lawsuit to proceed after the City of Houston sought to dismiss our client's claims, arguing that it was immune from suit.

Morgan McPheeters presented oral argument on behalf of these brave Texas State Troopers today at the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans. ⚖️

In 2022 we were awarded $1.5 million by a Lufkin federal jury in Mahan, et. al v. Texas Department of Public Safety in what would become the largest whistleblower related verdict in Texas for the year. Today Tanner Franklin and Morgan McPeters with McPheeters Law, PLLC defended that jury’s verdict at the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans.
