So everyone’s always looking for advice . Here’s some advice for the newbies and
seasoned vets alike:
1. Buy your own laser printer, never use public printers.
2. Buy your own scanner. Phone apps do not count as scanners.
3. At every signing service deal, yes you will print two identical copies.
4. Remember the rules you agreed to? Code of ethics? Non disclosure & protection of private info? You never are to bring ANYONE to your signing except a pre approved witness when required by the documents.
5. Leave your kids at home. (See 4 above)
6. Print as formatted. Nobody cares if it uses the expensive paper. Always single sided, and correct size period.
7. learn your states rules and what you can charge. There’s no such thing as an admin fee, AND print fee AND travel charges (must be pre agreed. )
8. Most important: learn what you are doing BEFORE you do it. This is not trial and error.
9. You’ll get paid when you get paid. It may be months away but that’s what you agreed to. Read your agreement carefully and follow it.
10. Stop worrying about what everyone charges. You never see Burger King asking McDonald’s for help. Every deal is different.
