Two and a half years ago, an Afghan family reached out to CNN Anchor and Chief National Security Correspondent Jim Sciutto for help to flee the Taliban. Mohammed served alongside the U.S. military in Afghanistan, and thanks in large part to the precision and skill of a fiercely devoted team of professionals, including Sciutto, globally recognized immigration attorney David Leopold, Alex Plitsas and others, Mohammed, Marwa, and their two children have finally arrived in the U.S. with Special Immigrant Visas.

Of this wonderful result, David said: “So proud to have been a part of this amazing team. The road was long, arduous, and fraught with danger, but Jim Sciutto refused to let go of this Afghan hero and his family. Musa put his life on the line for our troops. Now, he and his beautiful family are safe in the U.S.”

David Leopold works tirelessly to support his clients’ long-term objectives, and has dedicated his career to counseling businesses and individuals on an array of issues related to U.S. immigration, visa, and citizenship law. Passionate about human rights, he gives back to the community through pro bono representation. David will serve as Group Leader of the Immigration Practice Group for UB Greensfelder beginning February 1, 2024, when the combination of Ulmer & Berne and Greensfelder, Hemker & Gale, P.C., goes into effect.
