The CMI Process team had the pleasure of attending the annual Tennessee Association of Professional Process Servers (TAPPS) conference this past weekend. It was a great opportunity to reconnect with familiar faces, build new relationships, and collaborate with fellow professionals in our industry.

The event featured several outstanding guest speakers who provided valuable insight and practical guidance. A special thank you to Brittany Bartkowiak of Britt Law, PLLC for sharing her expertise on key topics impacting our profession, including strengthening partnerships between process servers and law firms, and how we can better support one another.

Congratulations to the newly elected members of the Board of Directors! I am both honored and humbled to continue serving another year as Treasurer for TAPPS, and I look forward to contributing to the organization’s ongoing success.

Thank you to all of our clients for your patience and understanding as we worked through service delays following Winter Storm Fern that has impacted our area for over a week now.

This weather system was extremely unusual for Middle Tennessee. We didn’t just receive snow, we received significant freezing rain and sleet, which created dangerously icy conditions in our area (the majority of the roads in Montogomery County were covered in 1.5-3” of solid ice), along with prolonged power outages which further impacted scheduling.

During the storm, county officials requested that nonessential traffic stay off the roads for not only the public’s safety, but also for the safety of our first responders responding to emergencies, and the safety of utility and road crews working diligently to get our area back up and running.

I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this has caused our clients. Prompt, efficient document handling is always our goal; however, the safety of our staff is and will remain my priority at all times.

The good news is that most of the primary roads are now clear. However, as you will see in the road department’s update that I am sharing here with photos taken today, secondary roads are still an issue. I am sharing that post below for transparency.

The CMI Process team is working hard to get fully caught up as quickly, but as safely as possible. Believe me, we ready to get fully back into the field and serve for you!!

🏆 CMI Process sends a thunderous round of applause to the brilliant minds of the Mock Trial team at Montgomery Bell Academy in Nashville, TN! 🏆

Not only did these outstanding students clinch the 2025 Tennessee State Mock Trial Championship, but they went on to capture the national title at the 2025 National High School Mock Trial Championship this past weekend!

We had the honor of watching this sharp, articulate team in action during the District competition in Sumner County, TN — a personal highlight, as our own son competed with his high school’s team in the same bracket. And while it wasn’t easy seeing Montgomery Bell dominate (seriously, these kids could cross-examine anyone into submission), it was even harder not to be impressed.

As legal professionals — and proud parents cheering on the next generation — we wholeheartedly applaud these future courtroom champions. Your grit, grace, and razor-sharp advocacy are exactly what this profession needs. Keep raising the bar — we’ll be rooting for you from the gallery. ⚖️👏

Yesterday, the CMI Process and Legal Support team attended the Tennessee Association of Professional Process Servers (TAPPS) Annual Conference in Nashville. The day was filled with valuable education, great discussions, and the opportunity to connect with so many dedicated professionals who are equally passionate about our field.
