Saturday, 1/24/2026, I spent four hours at the Mexican consulate in San Bernardino to take care of long overdue business. Proud to have my Mexican Passport and my INE card.
I’ve always been a very proud American, not so proud right now with this corrupt government we are presently facing and sadly facing the fact that more than half of Americans are fine and accepting of their president’s policies. We have always had a border issue however killing innocent people and harassing people is not the solution. FACTS : More than 70% of people detained by ICE are not criminals! Due process is NOT being practiced and it’s a shame that people are okay with this treatment and speaks volumes about ones character. FACTS:President Obama deported so many more than today’s president but with dignity and due process. It needs to be done correctly. We brown folks are just as much entitled to our freedom and rights.

I know my ancestors were mistreated and I will never forget and my children and their children need to know and stand proud and speak up for what’s happening. I love and appreciate my Mexican roots especially because my beloved ancestors are from the beautiful Zacatecas region and I am reminded of their heritage, culture, history and sacrifices all for their offspring and generations to follow. I can proudly represent my Mother’s heritage and her love for her land.
Next task is to get my family their dual citizenship.
My little house is Mexico is where I find myself filled with gratitude and closer to my ancestors. Life there is carefree and peaceful. Isn’t that what we all want. Peace and quiet for the remaining days of our lives.

Real Estate News 🗞️
Market performance and forecasts
Projected growth: The California Association of Realtors forecasts a rebound in 2026, with upward movement in home sales and prices as interest rates fall and buyer confidence grows.
Stagnant sales: Despite potential for a rebound, overall sales levels are still low compared to historical averages. Some major markets, like Los Angeles, have experienced stagnant sales with very few homes changing hands.
Regional variations: Home sales performance varies across the state. The Central Coast and Far North have seen recent sales increases, while the Bay Area and Central Valley have experienced decreases.
Increased inventory: Inventory levels have increased in many areas, giving buyers more breathing room and time to negotiate. However, this has not always translated to lower prices, and affordability remains a major issue.
Key issues
Affordability: Affordability is the biggest challenge for buyers, particularly for first-time buyers, despite some recent price moderation and slower price growth.
Mortgage rates: Fluctuating mortgage rates continue to impact the market, though a decline in rates is a key driver for the positive 2026 forecast.
Housing supply: California has the seventh-slowest rate of new housing creation among the states, which contributes to affordability challenges.
Developer costs: Homebuilders face rising construction costs and uncertainty from tariffs, which can affect housing output.
Potential trends to watch
Multigenerational homes: The popularity of multigenerational housing is increasing as a response to affordability challenges.
Affordable housing initiatives: The state is using funding to support the development of more affordable housing projects.
