Early Voting is open across the state of Tennessee and that includes the 32nd Judicial District. Early voting is available to all citizens eligible to vote in the general election and requires no special circumstance to use.

Happy Public Defense Day! Also known as “Gideon’s Day”, March 18 commemorates the United States Supreme Court decision in Gideon v Wainwright decided on this day in 1963.

That decision over 60 years ago guaranteed all who were charged with a criminal offense a right to representation from an attorney if they could not afford one. In 1989 the Tennessee General Assembly created the Public Defenders Conference in order to ensure that the promise of Gideon was extended to all Tennesseans.
