ee Public Library’s services are all FREE to Salem City residents and Salem High School students. The Library is supported by city revenue as well as three passionate advocates who set up trust funds to support the library. The Salem Free Public Library thanks Elizabeth Fogg, Eleanor Rumsey, and Granville S. Currently, patrons also enjoy borrowing privileges at Pennsville Library as well. HISTORY:
Built as the John Tyler Library in 1885, the building is located in the middle of the Broadway Historic District on one of the two original streets laid out in 1675. The library skillfully combines the Romanesque Revival and Queen Anne styles in terra cotta and brick, and is attributed to Philadelphia architect George Hewitt. Originally incorporated in 1806 as "The Library Company of Salem" this was the second library established in New Jersey.

Tomorrow Morning! 🌿

We’ll be at the Salem Free Public Library and this one is always such a hidden gem. It’s a smaller, super cute library—which means smaller crowds and a way more up-close, personal experience with the critters 🐍🪲

If your kiddo ever wanted a chance to really see the details, ask questions, and not feel rushed… this is your moment.

I’ll be bringing some really cool critters (including some of our tiny but mighty arthropods) plus a few touch table goodies!
