SALDF is dedicated to providing a forum for education, advocacy, and scholarship aimed at protecting the lives and advancing the interests of animals through the legal system, and raising the profile of the field of animal law. SALDF is dedicated to the goals of educating the law school and surrounding community about forms of institutionalized animal abuse, and engaging in projects that combat th

The activities SALDF include hosting speakers, and events on current issues in animal rights and animal welfare law, carrying out research projects for lawyers and organizations promoting animal welfare and animal rights litigation; networking with students at other schools, conducting educational events such as information tables and video screenings on pertinent issues.

In honor of ALDF's Speak Out for Farmed Animals Week, the DU Law ALDF Chapter is hosting Jenny Brown, a nationally renowned vegan author/speaker to talk to the community about the realities of farmed animal treatment in our food system. Marlon Reis, the First Gentleman of Colorado, will be introducing her and speaking a little about the puppy mill ban he & the Governor are introducing next month.

If you have some time on Friday & can make it down to Denver, please consider attending this awesome DU event!

REMINDER: Submit your pet photos to SALDF's Cutest Pet Contest before the deadline this Friday (10/19)!

The winner will receive a gift card to Only Natural Pet & a printed poster of their pet photo after it's unveiled at the ELS/SALDF ThAC next week.

All proceeds benefit the Humane Society.
