FREE LEGAL ADVICE FAIR
Saturday, October 29, from 9am-noon at Mid Central Community Action, Inc. (1301 West Washington St, Bloomington, IL 61701). Lawyers will be on hand to provide free advice pertaining to:
• Family Issues – Child support, Custody, Paternity, Visitation
• Housing Issues – Evictions, Foreclosure, Housing conditions
• Debt Issues – Bankruptcy, Collections, Payday and Title Loans
• Other – Suspended driver’s license, Expungement, Immigration
… and more
Walk-ins welcome. Bring your court papers and all other paperwork about your legal issue.
Breakfast will be provided by McDonald’s of Bloomington-Normal.

PLEASE NOTE: Lawyers are only available to provide one-time advice and information. They are not able to represent you in court with your legal matter or to help with matters involving criminal or traffic violations.

The McLean County Bar Association, Mid-Central Community Action, State Farm, Immigration Project, Prairie State Legal Services and Public Interest Law Initiative (PILI) will be hosting a Legal Advice Fair for the community on October 29 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. This event will be staffed by attorneys, paralegals and legal professionals from State Farm, the MCBA, C**A and the Legal Professionals of McLean County. At the event PSLS will conduct an initial financial qualification interview. Qualified people will then be paired with a volunteer attorney and paralegal or legal professional who can answer that person's legal questions. This is an advice clinic so there will be no continuing obligation to represent on the part of the volunteers.
We have some volunteers already but we need some more attorneys, paralegals and legal professionals. Please email Adrian Barr at [email protected] or call him at (309) 827-5021 Ext. 6805 if you are interested in volunteering.

The Kiwanis Club of Bloomington is holding their annual Pancake Days breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, February 20th and 21st. We have signed up to work on Sunday, February 21st from 9:30 to 12:30. Come early and eat for free. Who's in? I need a head count ASAP. If you have kids, they are more than welcome to join us.
