Hello my name is Kelly Jo and welcome to KJ Kreative Krafts! I am a born and raised Minnesotan and Army brat. I’m a paralegal and creative crafter in my spare time. I make uniquely decorated and made by hand sparkle balls for any holiday season, flower garden balls for decoration or to hang outside in your landscape. I also make special event balls for Weddings, a New Baby, Birthday, Sports Team,
Party Room, Home Décor or whatever your imagination can think of. As long as I can remember I have always loved to decorate, create, design, craft & DIY. I like and create all sorts of crafts. Being on a tight budget helps me think "re-purpose"! Make things inexpensively yet pretty. People point out things in my house and comment on where I got it. They are always surprised when I say what it is made from, or I got it at a thrift store, free on the curb and what it looked like or started out as. I am always being told I'm so crafty or creative. Although many of my crafts are tedious and take much time I love the thrill of how the finished project look and take pride in my meticulous craftsmanship. The one craft that launched my shop was created in November 2013. Around the Holiday season I get excited about putting up all the pretty decorations. I usually would purchase an item on clearance after the Holidays the year before which I am excited to pull out of the bin the following year and incorporate into my holiday décor. Unfortunately I neglected to hit any after Christmas sales. Emptying the last bin a smile came to my face to pull out the Sparkle Ball I had made years ago. My creative juices started flowing and I was inspired to recreate a new unique sparkle ball. While forming my solo cups into my ball I kept coming up with new ideas. Like how neat would it be to make a flower a ball to place outside in the garden in the Spring, my own version of a lighted gazing ball :). Or ooh what if I use the leftover feathers from a feather tree I made to make a lighted feather ball. Before you know it I had to grab a legal pad to start writing down all the ideas I was coming up with to recreate an old favorite. After having numerous friends, neighbors or strangers on the street stopping to ask where I got the cool looking lighted balls hanging in my yard it got me thinking.....maybe I should sell them. I do enjoy making the Sparkle balls and love coming up with new themes and concepts and I could surely use the extra income. Besides people really seem to like them and how unique and original they are. So here I am launching my first shop and finally taking the time and opportunity to connect with others that share the same passion for crafting and creating as I do. No one else makes these unique sparkle ball. You’ll have a ball with my balls :)
