We receive inquiries from clients from time to time regarding solicitations for information. It’s important to be vigilant and share words of caution- it’s easy for anyone to fall prey to skillful fraudsters!

Tolls are charged using the license plate. Toll Authorities obtain your information, or address, for billing from the tag agency (or rental car company). Phone numbers are not typically retained and shared. Be alert and pause before clicking links or sharing personal information online.

A legitimate toll road service will never text you asking for payment through a link. If you receive a message like this, do not click - it's a scam designed to steal your credit card information. Report it to the AARP Fraud Watch Network at 1-877-908-3360. Stay safe and scam-aware!
