Bayside sunset in Dewey Beach. Here for Daisy & Adam’s Wedding Part Deux! Hot as hell… the couple and the weather, LOL. Rehearsal dinner and welcome celebration. Pretty funny that they gave me the mic and duty of corralling everyone for the speeches. Especially thankful for the sun going down and the cool bay breezes. Today will definitely be pretty special for these two! We are on the beach tonight and I am definitely wishing I was forty years younger!

Out shooting on Memorial Day. Great renovation in Murray Hill. Third time taking photos of this property over the years. Always nice shooting close to home. In the process of moving out of this wonderful Annapolis neighborhood after 23 years. Wow.

In 2016, the one year anniversary of my mom’s passing fell on Mother’s Day weekend and I was in Scottsdale for a photography workshop. I believed that the closest I could get to my mom in heaven was in a hot air balloon. It was so quiet up there looking to the heavens and when looked down you saw Mother Nature scurrying on the desert floor. Yes, I really was in that basket! Last one in, first one out and sent to knock on doors in a gated community to get the chase vehicle in the gate. I will remember that balloon flight forever.

Me and my girl Maxie. My “teenager”of almost 15 in human years, but long in the tooth in dog years. There were a couple of years that I didn’t think she would make it through but thankfully she is still with me. She just wants to be with me, so she comes along and hangs out when I go in for a photo shoot. It works when the temps are cooler and the days are short but those days are numbered now. Who has their fur baby along for the ride? Any good ideas?

Game changer! 25 years of RE photography and I finally have a geared head that will make the next few years more enjoyable and hopefully pain free! It’s like buying a good pair of shoes, the investment is worth it. Thank you for the story you posted on this Arca Swiss classic geared pan head. Started the day in Eastport and ending it in the Historic District of Annapolis.

As a former professional wallpaper hanger, I am always checking out the paper at my photo shoots to see how it was hung. Where the seams fall, how they did the corners, what type of match is it? Straight, drop, random or multiple drop? What kind of “paper” is it? How was the room engineered and was anything “killed” during the hanging of the paper? What I mean by “killed” will be shown in a future post!
