The Albuquerque Journal has documented 32 deaths at MDC since 2020. This is inexcusable and intolerable for Bernalillo County taxpayers. We've filed numerous suits against MDC and BernCo. Don't trust anything that tell you about the circumstances or cause of death. Obtain the Office of Professional Standards investigative file but it is just the starting point. You must dig deeper. When you do, you will find that the OPS report is for CYA purposes only. It will have little to do with the truth of what happened. The Albuquerque Journal does a great job covering MDC deaths but there is only so much they can do. Always seek legal counsel.
