English law firm Clifford Chance has started a CV blind process of recruiting graduates into their ranks. Interviewers are not told the university and high school candidates attended to end the Oxbridge (Oxford and Cambridge) bias and duopoly. The move is also intended to do away with bias in favour of private high schools. Clifford Chance is one of the City of London's Big Five aka the Magic Circle.

Did you know?

Electricity transmission is the function of moving electricity in high voltage lines from one place to another eg Kampala - Gulu. This function is undertaken by Uganda Electricity Transmission Co. Ltd (UETCL)

Electricity distribution on the other hand covers low voltage lines from the transmission line to the consumer e.g homes, factories etc. This is the remit of Uganda Electicity Distribution Co. Ltd (UEDCL) which they contracted out to UMEME Ltd. Umeme was until its IPO in 2012 fully owned by Actis capital, a British government equity company.

X has been on remand at Luzira Upper Prision for 4 years. On Monday 9th September, 2013 he was set free on a no case to answer in a special criminal session at Mukono. It was emotive to see his family around him.
