Taiwan Labor Law Regarding Lunar New Year Holiday you may need to know:

The regulation of holidays for workers, including the Lunar New Year holiday, is primarily governed by the Labor Standards Act (LSA) and administrative announcements made by the Ministry of Labor.

Lunar New Year Holiday
According to Article 37 of the LSA, employees are entitled to national holidays. The Lunar New Year holiday, typically spanning 3 to 4 days, is one of the officially designated public holidays. The Lunar New Year holiday is categorized as a statutory holiday, meaning employers must grant time off to employees.

Therefore, if employees are required to work during this period, the employer must provide overtime pay or arrange for compensatory leave in accordance with Article 39 of the LSA.
