A temporary lay off is a separation from employment at the initiation of your employer, and as its name suggests it is temporary by nature. But how long should a lay off last? Although there is no "legal" limit, in accordance with good industrial relations practices a reasonable period of layoff should not exceed three (3) months. Have you or someone you know been temporarily laid off and you have concerns with regards to its legitimacy? If yes, contact the Trinidad and Tobago Workers’ Association today.

Lupus is a chronic (lifelong) autoimmune disorder that causes the immune system to attack the body's own healthy tissues and organs including the heart, kidneys, brain, blood, skin, joint and lungs. It is known as an "invisible illness" because most of the symptoms are not readily visible to onlookers.

The Trinidad & Tobago Worker's Association is raising awareness for Lupus during the month of May. Join us in supporting The Voice of Lupus Foundation to Make Lupus Visible in Trinidad and Tobago.

GO THAT EXTRA MILE FOR PEOPLE LIVING WITH LUPUS. Remember, there is US in LupUS.
