One-Stop-Shop (“OSS”) is an electronic interface that aims to simplify the VAT obligations of distance sales within European borders. Bear in mind that if you use a warehouse in an EU country (regardless of such a warehouse belongs to a third party) you’ll have to register VAT to the local tax office and need to report your distance sales. Once you have exceeded the global distance selling threshold through such warehouse, which is as little as EUR 10.000, your VAT liability will start for each intra-EU distance selling.
OSS enables the online sellers to submit returns and report all B2C intra-EU cross-border sales and pay the VAT via the electronic system. Tax authorities handle the rest.
Because you can register to OSS through only one tax office (preferably at where your imported products sit-in), there is no need for time-consuming paperwork in each EU state you sell to.
Despite all the goods, OSS has its challenges.

Bu ayki önerilerimizin ilki, önce kitap olarak yazılan sonradan farklılaşarak filmlere konu olan bir kurgu hikayesidir. Philip K. Dick tarafından 1968’de kaleme alınan “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?” isimli hikaye kitabını, Ridley Scott 1982 yılında “Blade Runner” filmine uyarlamıştır. Film, Cyber Punk gibi oyunların da ilham kaynağı olan disptopik bir gelecek fikrinden oluşuyor.

Kendinizi 21.Yüzyılda geçen bir hikayede buluyor olacaksınız. Yalnız bu hikaye kitabın yazıldığı yıllarda hayal edildiği için karşılacağınız kurgu sizi biraz şaşırtabilir. Senaryoya konu edilen insan üretimi “androidler”, replicant olarak isimlendiriliyor ve bu androidler insanlar tarafından köleleştirilmiş durumdalar. İçinde bulundukları durumdan dolayı izleyiciye bir yandan insan olmanın zorlukları resmedilirken bir yandan da insanlık olgusu sorgulatılmaktadır. Replicant olarak tabir edilen varlıkların düşünme yetisine sahip olması, izleyici olarak bizleri replicantların içinde bulunduğu bu sorgulamayı bir üst perdeden yapmamıza sebep olmaktadır.  

Diğer önerimiz olan Silicon Valley dizisinin konusuna hız kesmeden girelim: Başlangıç seviyesindeki bir müzik sitesi için geliştirdiği algoritma viral hale geldiğinde yumuşak huylu bilgisayar programcısı Richard Hendrix (Thomas Middleditch) kendini Silikon Vadisi’nin en güçlü iki isimden mükemmel teklifler alırken bulur. Ancak ürününün satılık olmadığına karar vermek Richard ve arkadaşlarının sıfırdan kendi markalarını oluşturmaları gerektiği düşüncesini doğurur.

Aslında temel olarak beş "nerd" tipin girişimcilik hikayesini biraz da mübalağa katarak anlatan ABD dizisi, gerçek hayattaki organizasyonları ve şirketleri anlatıyor. Organizasyonların ve şirketlerin teknoloji endüstrisini mizahi bir portre ile sunarak yapan bu serinin en azından birkaç bölümünü izlemenizi kesinlikle tavsiye ederiz!
