Before getting swept up by the "new launch" hype, take a step back and ask yourself if the entry price is reasonable relative to the surrounding projects? Is the price premium for the new condo significantly higher than older ones in the surrounding area? Is the developer's purchase price of the land reasonable as compared to other land bids in that area, or was it purchased at record-breaking levels?
