SMU congratulates our students for being crowned World Champions in the 14th Nelson Mandela World Human Rights Moot. The team had to first qualify for the regional rounds via written submissions before competing in four oral matches in the regionals. In the international rounds held at the UN in Geneva, the team competed in five matches against teams from different regions en route to the championship. This marks SMU’s fifth international championship final this season -- SMU had won the Vis East, Frankfurt, and Red Cross competitions, as well as reached the Jessup world championship final for the third time.
