One of the most eventful (and stressful) video shoot whereby I had a tripod accident and my phone flew into the pool when the tripod fell (I don't know if I was lucky if it was the pool or not).
We were in a situation where:
1) The house was brand new
2) We did not have any tools
3) Or bathing suits

AND...
A buyer was inspecting the property in 10 mins.
Long story short, we tried to get the phone out for over 20 mins, and I ended up giving up and walking to the neighbour's house to borrow a fishing net.

Moral of the story:
Love thy neighbour.
oh, and yes, iPhones are waterproof.
